Grant County Industrial Park Infrastructure
|
|
Power
Single-phase 120/240V underground electrical service is currently in place for each available lot within the Park. Three-phase, 480V is available nearby upon request. The utility supplier for the county and the Industrial Park is the Oregon Trail Electric Co-op headquartered in Baker City, Oregon [see web site], which purchases the majority of it's electrical distribution from the federal government's Bonneville Power Administration.
Typical small commercial consumer charges are $19.00/month with energy rates of $.06493/KWh -- some of the least expensive commercial energy available anywhere in the nation.
Water/Wastewater
The City of John Day supplies water and processes wastewater for the industrial park complex. The installations are new and designed to handle commercial/industrial applications of all types. All services are DEQ pre-approved and construction-ready for site development.
Telecommunications
High-speed DSL connections and telecommunication bundles are provided by CenturyTel Inc. Like the other infrastructure components, new underground services are installed to each location and are scaleable. As a further measure, conduit is already in place for fiber-optic lines to meet the higher demand for data transfer as businesses grow.
